The programs are more similar than dissimilar. I would and actually do think that the whole day carbups would better suit leaner individuals and those looking to bulk. Mauro himself suggests that it is for the individual to to gauge the level and restrition of carb up - I've heard a podcast where he suggests a single meal like Dave Palumbo to several meals over several hours.
I keep it moderate and do the 1 meal on a Sunday of gms carbs. Sometimes I might split that into 2 smaller meals to make it more manageable on the gut but the meals and treats start at around 6 pm Sunday.
The above was written with cutting in mind! If your looking to bulk then whole day carbups will work better but again it's upto you as to how much u think u need. Generally 36 hours is the figure that is most preferable my most when bulking, averaging anywhere upto gms carbs over the 2 days but in all honesty, a lot of this comes down to the individual, training, metabolism etc etc so u really do have to be your own judge - gms over 2 days would turn me into a fattie, I would defo need a lot less - when I refed after the adaption phase I only did the 1 day refeed, 6 meals there was about ish grams of carbs, that was hard work mind, I'm not a big eater!!
The more depleted you are the bigger carb ups you should have. Im beginning to feel like I dont really want to carb up at the weekend, Im on like day Weight this evening is only 4lbs down on starting, morning weight 4lbs down on previous out of bed weight. I am working nights on Saturday, and Sunday, and dont really like the idea of carbing up when Im at work, rather than on a social occasion eating as I please.
I think for carbing up you should carb up to your own mental choosing, you know what your body wants, you know when you want it, 1 day wont make too much of a difference.

Also, basically dave pulumbo recommends 1 cheat meal per week at the last meal of the day while lyle mcdonald and mauro dipasqual recommend 1 0r 2 carbup days , iam basically doing the anabolic diet as thats the book i read and followed but iam scared of the idea of 1 whole day of carbs??
