I'm currently taking mass gainer protein for 3 mths. Since I am quite new, don't really know how to compare which protein is better.
Currently I've 2 protein brands in mind but don't know which is better. I've screen shot the nutrition information as attached. I think TS is hardgainer? So by your statement, hardgainer must rely on mass gainers in order to overcome their serious under-consume of food?
A lazy yet stupid way I must say. Ever heard of an ex-skinny guy said 'I've tried multiple mass gainers and I never gain a KG from it. Mass gainers are SCAM!! Won't be wasting money if the weight gainer is made up of something like this.
It would doubled the cost of mass gainers with the added variations ingredients. No need to waste moeny on it. I didn't say that weight gainers are stupid, I say the consumers are unknowledgeable would be the polite way. Let me ask you something, do most of the mass gainers consumers know what inside the mass gainers that make them grow bigger?
From my experience, 5 out of 5 of friends of mine didn't know a shit of why they consumed the mass gainers. And if they fail to gain weight, they'll blame the mass gainers. Heck, TS even say that he wanted to gain mass first via mass gainers then after that he will start working out no offence TS.
TS, would highly suggest you to read a few pinned thread in this section. The weight gain thread is a good read. Yes he gained kg of weight, that's great So, whichever it is, mass gainers aren't the answer. But for me its more of weight control. Seems to work for me for over 6 months now. Pretty lean and not too big a muscle as the way i like. I keep my metabolism high to achieve this.
Once a week i have a cheat day. Weekends mostly is the day i eat like a starving cow. I would also like to share that I have tried this product and indeed, I love it and I'm pretty sure it loves me!
What I didn't know then was that I literally could not afford to not have that marvelous fabulous gift from nature. You wrote back there that you been chugging mass gainers for 3 months and THEN you will start to learn about routine and I assume that is workout routine.
What you should do right now is read the pinned thread as per what I've posted previously. My progress after 3 mths.. Since you have your goal bodybuilder type then you have to focus on three important factors: Training, Nutrition and Rest. For training , since you're targeting the bodybuilder type, google up and read books about Mr Olympias since they are the world's best certified bodybuilders.
The three main important ingredient: Carbs, Protein and Fats. To bulk up and be big, you need to know how much is your metabolic rates are, and eat a calorie SURPLUS exceeding total daily calories everyday. For rest , it's very important to get hours of sleep to let those muscles build and recover.
You can eat and train as many and hard as you want, but sleeps are where your muscles get bigger. I hope this helps you. There are more in-depth and detailed thing about each topic, but I'll just outline the general ones. If you need any more opinions, just pm me. Jun 17 , Even to get to that rate, it still requires couple of years and it will take longer if you have bad diet, bad workout. Learn what needed to be learn especially macro-nutrition, doesn't matter if you want to be Mr.
O or you want to be CK underwear models. Don;t forget the legs!!!! You want to bulk up then dont do cardio. You just do weights and resistance training. You can get cardio benefit from this two also by supersetting the workouts. If you want lean and clean muscles, aim for high reps, high sets and low weights training anything above 12 is high, go for double reps, sets. This can give definition to your lean muscle as it wont grow to big.
But if you want bodybuilder type, go for low reps, low sets, heavy weights reps is low and sets is enough You will bulld big muscles. But its not as clean. You may have fats around it. Thats when you need to switch up with the lean and clean technique. You need to kick you body into overdrive. You need to keep working those muscles at every opportunioty you get in order to keep growing new muscles. I've been training for 6 months now and I'm aiming for clean and lean.
Its more difficult and i still have yet to get any 6 pax. I can see the line though, but still not much definition to it. I blame the malaysian food!! You should do the same for the rest. Try to come up with a workout plan and stick to it.
